Zamanda geriye doğru yolculuk yapmanın en kısa yolu tarih okumaktır

Melisa Gürpınar

stone cracks ztone said the old man

sunlight fades sunlight

water drowns water and silence silence

a person can kill the beloved

with love

I am only a seller of dreams

frail and poor

in the night I roam

with the full moon’s golden chariot

in the days I lie dozing with the files

in a figtree’s shade

the subtlest words on my tongue

in my heart the most bruised feelings

how I have wished

to drink tea from o samovar-- just once

with a fellow-spirit

and then like paper and envelope to embrace

and fly to addresses that don’t ewist
