Ahmet Muhip Dıranas
Our revels now are ended, and joy fades away!
Eternal girls become mothers at the end of day.
Dont look in the mirrors: they breed cruelty,
Plunge your mind into the everlasting sea;
And if some day you recall my face and my love,
Then I could strip you naked like a dove.
Now in the sheps wake and its age-old foam
Towards the seas fathomless depths roam.
