Zamanda geriye doğru yolculuk yapmanın en kısa yolu tarih okumaktır

Cahit Yeşilyurt

(1952-2009)

The trap

First you laugh at the sun

Inside the house is laughing warmly too.

If you let it, will come with you

You shut the door tightly

The face of morning is black

Birds spread their wings before my breast

Petals of sleep are separated

Windofws unburden themselves to streets

You undress the house and put it on a hanger

Plentiful silence and some space

Hungry maggots are alert in drawers

The officer is at the door like a smiling scorpion

As time passes, you get bitten more and more

Fat animals return to drawers

From the walls that yawn a metal gong

When you come out, you must greet a friend

Tissues most join and complete the body

Now you can face the darkness

Gradually one can be accustomed to night.
